Girls Ministry & Cool Moments

Recently girlsministry.net asked what was one of the 10 coolest moments that stands out in my mind from Girls Ministry in 2010? My mind was a whirlwind - so many "cool" things happened this year...but one definitely "sticks out."

This time last year during our High School Winter Camp at Gatlinburg, I was introduced to Stephanie. Adorable Stephanie shared with me after my husband spoke that night that she understood what Christ had done for her and wanted to surrender her life to Him and live each day for Him. She did not have a church background and had not grown up in a believing home, and after we returned home from camp she began coming over to our home and asking questions about God and the Bible. My husband had the privilege of baptising her, she began being discipled by her Sunday school teacher, and she is apart of a new church family. How incredible it has been to watch this transformation in her life over the past year! Even more amazing was when Stephanie came to me a few months ago, and with excitement in her voice exclaimed that her mom had accepted Christ as Savior and Lord! Last week at Winter Camp was a time of reflection and celebration for Stephanie and her family - Praise the Lord for His salvation, goodness, and transforming power!
